Finally got my holy grail 140

i bought and fixed a 2003 blue msx 140 last fall and only rode it 2 times before i sold it....and the moment it left i knew id regret it....and turns out my pre ordered yamaha never came and i really did love the msx. So i set out to find another however covid made the prices way crazy and supply nearly none.

well i found this 04 and it looks terrible and doesnt run totally correct...and i paid to much......but i wanted a red o4 to go with my red 02 virage...so it is what it is lol

Huge plans...candoo gps..grips..sponsons...black all the grey...and some more

Umm well yes and no...I have one that I want however it's stuck on the other side of the border that I haven't been able to cross for 2 years now....hopefully when I can he still will sell it. I want one real bad, but this is also something I'll keep as a unit that requires less up keep and can ride more often than the show piece a matrix would be lol

Some US guys do travel into Canada now.

You might be able to find someone willing to tow a trailer+ski across for you.

The red and the white portion are dye colored gel coat. The silver areas are painted. What this means: You can get very aggressive with a buffer/rubbing compound on the red $ white areas without fear of "burning through". I picked one up a few years ago that was also sun faded (red never does well in the sun). I brought it back with a buffer---which is wayyyyyyyy less than cost of paint and more durable.

    Before buffing:

The blue masking tape protects the decals from the buffer.

    After buffing:

No doubt, there are a number of YouTube videos on buffing, so I won't get into that.

Also, I've utilized a product, NuHull, on the yellow scum on the lower portion of your hull. Spray it on with the hand pump sprayer, let sit for a few minutes, and hose it off. It is hard to believe how well it works!

Did a little clean and buff....still want to hit it harder but.

For the bottom I used star bright instant hull cleaner...it's much better but not 100 percent maybe it never will
