    '21 Seadoo RXPX VS '21 Yamaha GP1800R: Stage 1

It seems like a never ending battle between SeaDoo VS Yamaha...Hopefully this will settle some debates.

I think the triple black will add at least 1mph, at least in my books

It's almost too simple getting these skis to 80+. It used to be you had to kinda know what you were doing and now even a caveman can do it.

Great results, makes me happy that I selected the RXP. I hate a ski that cavitates or porpoises. The Yamaha does both....

You should have drag raced them. I think it would have taken a while for the Yamaha to catch up looking at the times, if at all. The 20-60mph shows the rxpx out pulling the GP by 3-5 tenths. At 3/4 of a mph on top speed, it would have taken a while to catch it. But IMO, he didn't show it as it would have really shown how slow the GP really is. Also agree with the above comment that the Seadoo does not cavitate which I would NOT like either.

You should do two tests, one from dead stop and one from rolling as you have. Doing it only from a rolling start hides Yamahas holeshot issues. Sea-Doo could have easily used a different impeller pitch to gain that 1mph up top but cavitate on holeshot like Yamaha does. Doing just a rolling one takes away a key strong point of the RXP.

They didn't build the launch control for nothing, it's a feature and needs to be used when testing performance against other skis.

I can't hole shot my 19 at least not well. I don't see how they do it at the drags...I guess practice practice practice. even 5-60 is tough. With various bounces and bobbles I pull .5 sec faster 5-60 on my 21 px.

Rolling is always tough because someone always gets the jump and then you have beat them on top...which hard to do if the other ski is a GP1800.

Agree. This is why I sold my FZS and stuck with PX skis since
