2021 Sea Doo GTR vs Yamaha 2019 FX HO - I prefer the GTR

I picked up a 2021 GTR230 which is replacing a crashed FX HO i had.

I am very happily surprised how dramatically better the acceleration and stability the 230 provides.

I was expecting a bit more acceleration, this GTR does not seem much different then a Kawasaki 300X I previously owned.

The GTR is a great bargain in my book.

A whole more fun to ride then either the 300 or the FX HO.

Not shocking since you are comparing touring to sport model. The GTR has another 50hp and likely lighter too.

2021 GTR is very stable- yet playful at the same time. It goes exactly where you point it.
I'm impressed with mine. I added the ski and X package module at around 6 hours - but am past 11 hours and only get 7500 RPM when it should be 8000 RPM at 10 hours? Still waiting for the max rpm - but thought it should have beeen there already?

You will not get 8k RPM with the stock prop in warm weather/water. Have your stock prop repitched or get a 159 mm Solas 14/19 Impeller and 159 MM wear ring. My buddy has the Riva Stage one flash and 4" rear air with that prop and gets 70 plus MPH and 8K plus RPM.
