Got the jugs off today, and emailing with MT for rework. Next up, cleaning and then digging into the case. This is new territory for me. Any advice?

Oside Bill has a stickie on case assembly. There’s also a thread on sealing one oil port on the rear crank seal.

Got the cylinder jugs all cleaned up, carbs & flame arrestors too. Removed the pistons from the rods. Elbow deep in mineral sprits but the parts look much nicer without 5 years of crud and dirt.

Ordered gaskets, needle/seats, 1211 sealant, carb rebuild kits and 95 gram grey springs. I need to crack into one of the carbs to see what jets I put in there in 2002, but I think we were on the same path as OSB at the time, I remember Fercho was the go to guru when this stuff was new. Ordered brass tees for the fuel system dual feed, and fuel line to get it all working.

Still need to get reeds, 95 jet for return line, a piston/ring set, and have the crank and pistons overhauled.

It'll be like new again someday...hopefully get it running before the new ski arrives. It's easier to work on without another ski sitting on the trailer next to it.

Heard back from MT, good news on the overhauls. Need to get with someone on the crank. Crankworks still do good work? Recommendations?

250 to 300 per cylinder but I'm staying at 1200. Just going to fix the bad one but sending all 3 anyways for new life.

I got thing apart for fuel mods, double feed and pre mix. Will pull sender tomorrow.Click image for larger version.

You may have to pry forward on the tank flange to wiggle the pickup out. IIRC I found a pry bar that fit inside and made things easier.
