    Riva steering installation

Have a 2021 gp1800r purchased the riva steering bundle from the greenhulk online parts store, i live in st Petersburg fl, two local dealers don't want two install because of liability issues, instructions are pretty straight forward says 1.5 hrs install time so it will take me 3 hrs probably any tips for doing this install correctly to save any aggravation.. I am half way mechanically literate. Thanks for any advice.

I installed one on my FX...Other than the looks, I felt it was a waste of money. All the other steering systems I've installed had beefy bearing for a smoother feel. Riva still uses the crappy plastic bushing instead of riding on bearings..

I agree with that completely. I feel like I installed a 700 dollar piece of eye candy. Some of me is debating selling my steering and putting the stock parts back on and getting the money back. It does look cool though.

Riva steering has a little too much static movement up and down side to side sitting on trailers haven't put ski in water yet can you shim upper and lower portion on steering to correct this??

Something is loose or not seated right. Try pushing the stem down more before tightening it up. Or the bushing may not be seated.
