2015 FX HO Intake Grate/Pump Wedge Question

I have a 2015 FX HO. I have put on a filter, ribbon delete, and had the rideplate cut by Dean. I'm getting around 60mph with 3/4 tank of gas and me (245lb) on it on a fairly smooth river. At the first of the year I was getting around 7700rpm but in the summer it is maxing out between 7500 and 7600rpm. I've been hauling around a tube and pulling it a good bit the last few weeks. I've read about the pump wedges and intake grate upgrades. My questions:

    1. Does an intake grate help the FX HO?
    2. Will the intake grate lower the top speed? I've read conflicting things on this....
    3. Which grate is best? I know there are several options.
    4. Would the pump wedge help on this? I'm assuming the install on this is pretty straight forward.
    5. How much would the pump wedge change the ride on this model?

I felt like the ride plate made the back end "stick" more and maybe alittle more stable on plane but I didn't really notice any speed difference.

I've read that and I've also read that is does not. I wasn't sure how it affected a N/A ski vs a S/C ski that is already pushing alot more water into the pump. I'm not looking to get really any more speed but I don't want to loose what I have.....
