Marty - do you mind sharing any mark up they charged or freight fee? My local dealer is adding the $500 commodity fee, which seems to be a SeaDoo add-on, plus a $500 dealer mark up (I’ll shop around), but for the 18’ Sport he said $4,000 freight fee? I know for boats there is such a high fee for transportation but that much or at all for SeaDoo?

That's definitely a huge freight fee for a boat, especially something as small an 18'. It really all comes down to supply and demand right now. I would shop around and see what other quotes you can get, but if you have to have it, but you might end up paying a lot more than the normal going rate.

I called a few more dealers around and so far the freight is ranging from $3,995 to $5,500. One dealer said there is little mark up on these so dealers are adding to the freight rather than an additional dealer mark up (ADM). I was also told the $500 commodity was to offset the additional freight charges paid by BRP during this time, but this came from a dealer so whatever that is worth.

Ordered 18’ Sport 230. Now what are the mods for this version of the 230?

The 170 Compact Sport (13') is 23,999 plus $500 commodity and $1,500 Mandatory Freight.
So $26,000 plus?? I,m getting a 2022 spark 3 up and for the First time in 16 skies there is a mandatory $500 freight. I never paid freight or prep before but the demand for product is Greater because of covid.

Looking at my order and I see $4500 for freight and $500 dealer prep. I can't recall, but I think the $4500 includes the $500 commodity and the dealer prep is just that and not BRP's commodity. Total for my 18' 230 is $42,847 and that includes the above, $3,662 in sales tax, $3,237 in accessories and licensing fees.
