    2 stroke oil experience

So what is your worst 2 stroke oil experience?

Well I bought some generic two stroke oil that was on discount just to try, I usually run yamaha oil without any problems on everything from pwc to outboards mercury & johnyrude.

This oil don't burn at all, I think it might be unburnable.
I tried it with 3 different outboards and 2 different pwc.

Other than oil soaked plugs it seems fine.

All machines are pre-mixed to 40-45 ratio.

Am fine with what happened, I like to try and there was no damage...

In my 15 years of experience specializing in watercraft, I HAVE YET to see a failure related to brand or type of 2 stroke oil used. Hell, I don't even know what I run in mine......I just dump it out of any old junk ski that ends up here for parts and funnel it into a jug through a paint strainer.

There is nothing better than the ZX2R. Except maybe the ZX2SR

Maybe not a failure but some oils cause hard starting and fouling plugs. The Legend stuff just burns clean and never fouls plugs. I would run the same plugs for a few seasons running this oil and never had an issue

Keeps RAVE valves much cleaner than Interceptor or XPS. I use that s#*t in everything!

It seems to be the only main issue with super cheap oils.

But budget oils from major manufacturers seems to be fine for normal use.

Some machines have very cheap plugs that would offset any oil savings, like an old waverunner, 2 plugs for less than 5 $.

But again it's a personal preference.
