    Looking to buy friend's 2016 RXP-X 300

So I have a friend who is in his early 70s and is a wealthy guy. He use to purchase a new RXP every year they came out. Well in 2016 he purchased a new 2016 RXPX 300. He drove it for 16 hours in 2016 and hasn't used it since then. I put a RIVA unit on it when it was after the break in to remove the speed limiter back in 2016 and that's the only thing that has been done to it. He priced it to me today for $12,000. I'm in Alabama. What kind of price is that on this unit. Comes with a galvanized trailer as well as cover. Has 16 hours total.

Was it prepared for extended storage back in 2016 or was it simply parked as it was after the last ride?

I suppose the concern would be mostly about the old gasoline gumming up the fuel system.

It was bought toward the end of that summer I remember and winterized after he used it that season and I remember filling it up to park it for the winter and putting the blue gas treatment in it. I can't remember the dang name to save my life right now. It was kept inside of a enclosed garage since then. If I get it I plan on just syphoning all the gas out that I can and refilling it, starting it and letting it run a little and pull the plugs and replace them afterward. I didn't know if there was any bad issues related to the 2016 since it was the first year for the 300 or if it was considered a "bad year".

Any info in that regard would be much appreciated.

2016 was the last year of the old supercharger design, so it will need a rebuild.

Price seems fair in this market

Is 2016 the last year? Everything I've watched on reviews said 2016 was the first year for the maintenance free superchargers. Maybe they thought they were going to be that way when released or something?

There are no 300 skis with "old" supercharger, there's the 300 charger and thats it. 2016 still had the old 260 chargers in the lineup which eventually turned into 230.

Buy it, suck out the fuel in the tank, replace fuel pump, have injectors professionally cleaned, change oil/filter, check hose clamps, go ride!

Thank you that's what I thought I had remembered when the 300s were released. Main difference I see now is just the platform in 2016 really didn't have much capability for accessories compared to say 2018+

Only thing about the 2016 300 charger is there was a recall to replace the wheel.

Sorry, I forgot to mention spark plugs, change them as well.
