    300 oem cam in a 230 ski?

From what I have heard (I could be wrong) the 1630 230hp engine has a cam that holds back performance mods and tuning. What would happen if the 300 oem cam was installed in the 230 with the stock 230 charger. And what are the if any other differences from the 230 to 300 like other internals or compression ratios?
    Tom

You should have simply bought a 300 instead..

Not for me. My 19 psi svho charger on my vxr cams fx sho is just fine!
I have 2 friends one with a 21 tx stage 2( for now) with a that stock cam removed and an other with a 21 230 gtr. Was just wondering. He is fine with the 70 mph.

Yes that is correct. The stock 230 cam is a limiting factor in the motor. You can swap out for a stock 300 cam no problems. There is a group dedicated to Seadoo 230’s on Facebook with a few 80mph plus skis
