    o2 sensor fix

My O2 sensor pulled out of the exhaust manifold, so I had to drill it out larger and put new threads in it.
The O2 sensor wobbles in the threads slightly until it bottoms out on the washer
when it bottoms out it seems to be very tight
so, the question is should I leave the washer on or take it off & put some kind of thread tape on to seal & tighten it up ?

Whatever you do I would pressure test the water side of the manifold to make sure you didn't drill into the water jacket by enlarging the original drill hole. Not much space to work with in that spot.
