    Question ST3 hull strainer routing

Hey everyone! So ive searched for what id like to do and haven’t found anything useful. Ive got a new GTX300 id like to put a strainer on before i put too many hours on it. And ive got a few questions...

: how is everyone draining the intercooler once out of the water, since most the strainers i see are mounted high, gravity does not empty it like the stock routing

: does anyone see an issue with how i plan to do this?

: ill have a ball valve tee’d onto the extra exit that is supplid near the pump, so when i wanna drain it i can reach back and turn the valve

: is there another/better way to do this so it drains properly that im not seeing?

    thanks!

I have heard that the water pathways in the IC on the 300 are large enough to not need a strainer.
Get some other opinions and you might save yourself the time and money.

i know the exhaust passages are big enough, and the old internal coolers on the 215 skis were big enough. I just assumed these external IC were like any other external cooler that had small fins. Plus i already have the parts
