After 265 hrs and a noise in the driveshaft housing and a oil seal torn out from a snapped SC belt it was time to dig in and change it out and it was quite a job and will walk you thru it step by step with the proper tools youíll need ...

    Stay Tuned🍺🍺

The Jet Pump will need to be removed ,also Intercooler ,catch can ,top of the exhaust manifold ,Intake manifold , Fuel rail , and SC belt .

You will need to push engine forward to separate the couplers same as a SC belt replacement is done But you will need an engine hoist to raise engine 6-7 Inches

    Thumbs down

I lifted the engine th tilt towards the intake manifold side where there is more space as you will need clearance to get height enough ..

Lift engine with enough height and swing it just slightly and be careful not pulling any wires or smashing and sensors Your gonna also have to remove the fuel rail those 4 Phillip screws as the injector Wires might not be too long to stretch up as you lift ,just be careful the injectors donít fall out or just remove them from their seats and careful to put black rubber O rings on the side as well..
When you think you have enough height clearance ,pull the driveshaft
    completely out..

With the driveshaft pulled under the engine block Now you remove the 4 bolts on the driveshaft plate and get ready to either hammer them out or press them out , Then rebuild ...

Since the oil seals and bearing need to be pushed in and out a short distance there’s no real need for the press , a hammer and sockets or bearing drivers will do..
Its best to have the service manual to follow the step by step removal / Installation of the rebuild and follow installation in order..

First Remove circlip in the front then take your 1” socket or 25mm bearing driver (pic1) and hammer out the small oil seals ,bearing and large oil seals From the back, they will all come out the front with some good hits ,it’s ok to damage the old seals and bearings you’ll be throwing them out ..

    too be continued..

Now it’s time to rebuild the driveshaft plate ...

Have marine grease ready and importantly follow service manual steps which is
First lube the first small oil seal and hammer or press it in using 1” socket from the Front to the Back of the driveshaft Plate with the springs facing outward ,do the same for second small Oil seal , then lube good your bearing and use the 1 1/4 “ socket to hammer in or press it in ,again use marine lube and hammer in or press in the larger oil seals spring facing outward using 1 1/4 “ socket , then put in circlip ..
    Now your done rebuilding

With a good amount of marine silicone put on thick both the driveshaft plate and transom Mating surfaces and importantly the bolts have silicone as it was in the factory then Tighten down the bolts to spec

Now lift driveshaft and back up into opening in the plate , might need a little tap now and then..

Now carefully drop engine on its mount , holes donít have to line up yet with motor mounts you now want to bring the driveshaft coupler locking into engine coupler , then start lining up and bolting down the engine bolts .Do 2 diagonally so the other 2 will line up ..

After releasing the hoist You now need to put everything back like before I did it in this order...

    1) Intake manifold
    2) fuel injectors O rings fuel rail
3)top part exhaust manifold and down pipe
    4) SC belt and tensioner
    5) Intercooler
    6) hoses for Intercooler orange and black Blowoff valve and black throttle body
    7) catch can and 3 hoses
accelerator positioning sensor ,rectifier , wire coils
    9) ignition wires
    10) plug in temperature sensor from exhaust manifold ,Intercooler water hoses(2) and sensor , boost sensor on intake manifold and air pressure sensor on intake manifold sensor ..
