Talked to Impros. he can cut the nut off, turn down a WR014A tool so it will fit and balance the prop back. Then refinish it for the splatter. 190 bucks. plus shipping.

but or I can buy a new prop for 280... So Plan is to sit on this welded prop, and un the new one and then make a call if I need to go back.

Impros told me I can take a caliper and measure from flat surface/hub to trailing edge. and see how different the props are as gauge are subjective. 0.080 is one degree.

old prop is measuring 0.320 on average, new prop is 0.202 on average. that's 0.118 difference or 1.47 degrees. Just wanted to put that in the thread as details later are always interesting. also good to know later if I need to add the same o close to it I know how much to bend it to give It another degree.

Looking forward to the test, to see what the rpm and speed difference is.

Just to clarify, this is currently going from 13/18 to 13/20 correct? And you have a 14/21 up your sleeve if it can take more?

Old prop was a 13/20 bent to a 13/18. New prop is a 13/20 not bent.

According to Impros on a flat surface measuring the trailing edge to the surface 0.080 is 1 degree so difference in props what ever they messure is 1.47 degrees. Time will tell.

What size inner and outer pipe did you use on all the jacketed pipes?

Thank you. I have a 2015 FZR that I was going to sell, but between you two guys im gonna give the turbo set-up a try. I own a repair shop that specializes in custom exhaust, my son is a welder and has a plasma table as well. It seems very doable, just never tried making jacketed pipes.

Its a bit of a pain in the ass, but comes out nice. You might be able to message Mittens for a flange if you cant cut one.

    Great thread man!
Lots of great info for those of us planning on doing the same thing.
Not sure what the big secret is with Turboing the Yamaha's, very little info online, and most people who have them wont give out details.
I'm now in the process of building Both my Yamaha's.

    Thanks for sharing.
