Parts list for Garmin Fish Finder on any ST3 Hull

Here is the parts that you need to install the FishFinder in the OEM position like the Fish Pro on any ST3 hull ski. My understanding is that this will also work with the new 2021 RXPX but I have not confirmed that. (If you have a 2018 ST3 hull, the mirror is slightly different and you will have to use a dremel to cut away some of the excess plastic to mount the Exhosounder Support)

Now if you want the Garmin 73SV which is the best way to go. You only need the following parts but you will have to splice, solder, and heat shrink the power and ground into your accessory harness. The reason you don't need the power supply harness is that your Garmin will come with one and it is different than the one for the 62 series. So that one does you no good.

Here is another post with the issue on the 2018 ST3 hull. I just used a dremel and removed just enough plastic for the mount to sit all the way down.

You can also just wire the Garmin direct to the battery with the power cable that comes with the Garmin.

I already have the 73cv mounted to to cowl on my 2018 230 RXT, but like this better as it looks factory (which it is). Photo of current setup attached. My question... Is there a OEM cover that will fit the RXT with the Echosounder support in place? The Fish Pro models have the extension in the back making the cover too long, so that won't work. Would the cover for a new Fish Pro Scout work? or is there something available in other markets?

Any of the new GTX/RXTX covers will work as they have a little expandable pocket with a sipper that covers the fish finder.

The Humminbird HELIX 5 mount will fit on the mirror already. Its not a waterproof device and even with just water spray has issues, but they claim its IP rated. I put gasket maker on it and so far so good after going through a few units. Cheaper option for sure, and i like it better since it keeps it out of the way compared to how much the stock one sits up

jsmith7364 - Thanks for the info! I was getting ready to take my old cover to a marine upholstery shop to have it modified. I'll order a new cover and be done with it.
