    From the looks of that supercharger housing, the bearing failed, dumped the contents of the bearing into the engine and they kept riding it as the housing is all chewed up and the teeth on the gear are worn funny. They rode it until eventually the shaft snapped.
    Then they did the For Sale Repair! (let me guess, just needs battery)
