Extra Motor mount hole anyone??
Do any of you have this "extra" hole in your hull next to the right rear motor mount???????
It is threaded. Looks like a goof to me.

Is that the front mount, left or right side. It looks like the left front in the pic.
I looked at mine and neither on has a second hole.
I would say it`s a F-UP..

I got em, just behind the back mounts. Maybe the motor sits a wee bit farther back in the LX's? Maybe it something they added or eliminated at a certain production number?

JWilson has both ---- can you check for us?
See if you have an exposed hole visible toward the front of the craft.
Turbo - you're thinkin' - I just checked with inspection mirror and found another hole on the other side just the same. You are prolly 100% correct!
This would help get the nose out of the water!!
Manual has no indication of this in the engine removal section unfortunately.Last edited by earthshaker; 06-20-2007 at 08:34 PM.

The 250 motor sits forward to acomidate the SC pulley / coupler.
The LX and 250 are the same hulls. So the production out the molds are done for either set up to drop into it.

So you know this for fact that the lx sits further back?
To machine a custom shaft would likely not be difficult, maybe the stock shaft could be modified to keep costs down...i simply don't know as i have not wrenched there yet. Man i wonder if this will ever take place in future.

The LX sits further back, I have holes on the front side of both front mounts that are visable. I first though it was a manufacturing mistake - but not

The drive shafts are the same from LX to 250.
The coupler is bigger on the 250 because of the belt pulley. Making the motor have to sit forward a bit to fit with the drive shaft.
