    ????Sponsoon on jetboat????

I know I know. There is a jetboat section.

There is no traffic on there and I trust you guys more.

I have a set of 2012 Rxp-X sponsoon. And a 2008 speedster 150. I personally have never seen it done and was wondering if it would help make it turn like an F1 racer. Or would it just rip out the sponsoons?

I have way too much time on my hands.

Well, I saw the "Miss Budweiser" unlimited hydroplane out of the water and that used kind of a sponson. It was a slab of steel about a friggin inch thick.

Installing sponsons on a hull that never had them is going to involve a lot of experimentation. How low, how far back, what angle?

You may end up with a lot of experimental mounting holes as you try different positions.

And the handling results may or may not be to your liking.

All fair answers. But I still think it would look cool af.

Yah might look cool. The strakes and chine are designed on those little boat for the handling, that what makes them so much fun. Putting sponsons on might change the way it tracks and handle in a bad way, like dig hard in a turn and shove the nose down dangerously or try to flip in a hard turn instead of spinning out. If you try set them up high and all the way back. Good luck.

    Yeahhhh. Not possible.
Well it is possible but not recommended. The hull on the side of the boat is paper thin. Those things might rip out just going in a straight line let alone a heavy G turn. Lol. The skis have like a 1/4 inch thick side where the sponsoons go. This boat if it had no gelcoat on it would almost be see through. So I guess this is a No go! Way too much trouble to reinforce just cus I think it would look .
