Water in Hull after 5 minute ride in calm waters HELP!
I have the same issue. Re-sealed transom and checked my intake grate on the ski (2016 VXR) any other ideas? Could it be through the sipon? I also changed the check valve.
I donno where to look.

Water in Hull after 5 minute ride in calm waters HELP!
My ski is a 2016 VXR and I seem to get a bit of water in the hull at the beginning, as early as 5 mins after riding but it doesn't go any higher. after a certain point. I have already re-sealed the transom and checked the intake grate for any cracks of which there are none. I have also replaced the sipon check valve. I do not know where else it is coming in from. Anyone have any ideas?

CHeck your mid bearing. let it float and stick camera down under plastic shield looking back up at it and the mid wall.

If you cannot fix the leak by checking things and resealing, you may need to mount an action camera and LED light in the hull. Then go for test rides.
When riding there is pressurized water inside the driveshaft tube. Check the hose clamps on the driveline rubber tube. Also know there are water seals inside the mid-wall housing that holds the mid-shaft bearing where the front of the driveshaft ends.
And of course the entire engine cooling system is pressurized while riding. Many hose clamps and fittings, some of which are hard to eyeball.
Related item, check the water flush hose for potential kink where it meets the Y connection coming from the jet pump.

2015 through 2018 VXR (and similar) hulls are susceptible to cracking around the bolt holes for the intake grate. This mostly happens on the SVHO examples but can also happen with the 1.8 liter non-supercharged engine.
Remove the intake grate to inspect the hull for cracking around the rear bolt holes. If it has cracks then water can seep into the hull.
Especially for the GP1800 (2017&201but also for the non-supercharged hulls 2015 onward is to reinforce the hull inside around/under the rear bolt inserts for the intake grate.

Sometimes they are a pain to find.
1 test is . Dry hull- launch ski, dont rev up fast get to 5k slowly 1 time then check if tiny water amount. Next
still rev up slowly but to full rpm 1 time and again check water amount.Next
From dead stop hit full throttle for 5-6 seconds (just get it moving good-dont let speed go above 40) Let off - Check water amount . Next
Ok All that crap lets up know "When" it leaking , then we can look for where..
Mine 16VxHo (same ski diff name) only leaked a tiny when max power was hit from a dig , if I did a slow roll on =no water.

That's not happening. Already re-sealed the transom with 5200

Just finished putting the intake grate back on and sealing it. No cracks at all underneath. Also noticed some corrosion built up on where the exhaust manifold meets the black rubber before the waterbox. Is that normal?
