Testing Kawasaki cdi unit
I have an ebox from a 2000 Kawasaki 900zxi. A fellow wanted it, but tested it using a voltmeter. He was checking a resistance on a 6 prong connector with one end plugged into the connector, while the other grounded on the box. He said that all the connectors except the one going to the yellow cable were fine and showed resistance, meaning continuity, while yellow did not show anything, hence no continuity.
My question is simple, is it the way to test the igniter?

I've tested a couple units according to the procedure in the service manual and never got the results listed. However, the units worked fine in use. I think testing them with an ohmmeter is a waste of time.
