RXT-X Starting issues
2012 RXT-X less than 30 hours
Brand new Deka battery went in and still get the below
Is this the starter? or something else
Any advise would be great

Not the starter. Is the new battery fully charged? just cause its new does not mean full charge.
When did it last run?
Pump clear?
The cranking does not sound right. Remove spark plugs and see if they a re ok and do a WOT crank wit them out and see if anything comes out of spark plug holes.

Do a compression check too. It kind of sounds like the compression skips a cylinder while you're cranking on it.

Ok will test the Battery, should have done this before I put it in..
Then check the plugs, pump and compression!
Last time it ran was around 3 months ago
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated

were you the last person to use this ski?
if not, suspect the worst
check to see when you pull the plugs if one of them isn't damaged, like it was hit with a hammer
if it all looks good, then a compression check is called for..AFTER checking the pump tunnel to see if there is an obstruction in there ( like 20 ft of tow rope)
there should be a sticker with a code on the side of your deka, if a vendor doesn't maintain thier stock you could have one that's been sitting for 7 months or so with no top up charge, but that's way down on my list

Those plugs have rust on the tips-you probably have rusted valves too. I suspect the cylinders have had water in them.

Take it to the water and ride for maybe 15 minutes then check the plugs. See if it runs normally at all rpm's. When you check the plugs also crank it with the plugs out and see if it blows any water out of the cylinders.

I’ve noticed that more skis from cold waters had more head cracking issues...
