Yamaha lx210 jet boat

Hello all. I had a motor rebuilt for a lx210 jet boat. Reinstalled the motor but it keeps burning out the electrical stator. It will run fine on a hose or idling in the water but you open it up and within 600ft the motor shuts off and stator is fried. 3 in a row. I am totally lost. Any one have some advice on what cold be the problem? Thanks

HI K447,didn't know you would be on the yamaha forums. The motor is a 3cyl 1200cc efi yamaha 2stroke. The rectifier has not been changed as far as I am aware. Ideas?

the original stator was used after the rebuild and that when it started burning them up.

Speculation: If the rectifier has a problem/defect/internal short, perhaps it is damaging the stator when the engine RPM rises and the amount of electrical power flowing through the rectifier ramps up.

Do you have another known good rectifier you could test with?

could prbly use the rectifier from the other motor and try that. Hate to burn up another stator. Is there a way to test them. Thanks for the help
