2004 Polaris msx 150 fuel pump needed
I purchased a 2004 Msx 150 Turbo recently that has been sitting for 4 years. I have pin pointed it to needing a fuel pump. The problem is cannot find one anywhere for this model. They are either discontinued or out of stock. I noticed the 2004 Msx 110 uses the same model as the 150. But all I can find is ones for the Msx 140 models with a different model #2410129 the Msx 150 is 2410374. Does anyone know who sells the correct part or can the 140 be used on the 150. My guess is the 150 fuel pump puts out more fuel pressure. The entire fuel case also shown on partzilla is listed differently as above with the same part# but unavailable. There is a few of the whole casing ones on Ebay but they are all for the 140. Some sights say out of stock for the 150. Also does anyone know of a replacement oil filter that can be used.
Any answers or suggestions would be appreciated.Last edited by wakeride; 02-18-2021 at 01:18 AM.

The 150 fuel pump is definitely different than the 140.
I'm not aware of any substitute oil filters. OEM filters can be purchased at weberpower.com

The oil filters can also be purchased here https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Polaris....m46890.l49292
They may also have the fuel pump. We have two places here in MN that part out skis. We actually have a good amount of this ski in the state. Maybe because this is where they were based out of... but I would call them and see

The MSX-150 fuel pump is extremely hard to find, and especially as there were a few different fuel pump versions used.
The best option is to bypass the original pump and convert it to an external fuel pump. Another option is to modify the Polaris FST / Hydrospace internal fuel pump to fit your application. I will list (2) options for you.
Plan #B is to review the stickie at the top of the newsgroup where Tracy Hill already modified his MSX-150 to accept another pump.
*Whatever you do* make sure you have a fuel pump rated for the correct fuel pressure & gallons per hour or you will have a meltdown (too lean).

Weber Oil Filters.
Weberpower offers oil filters for $24.21, and if you note that you are a GH member in the comments section I will ship 1-2 filters for $12.00

I realize that you can find the OEM filters for less $$ right now, but they are a limited supply, and I offer GH members free technical support.
Thank you,

Well got the Polaris started after replacing fuel pump. Now it idles so high above 3000 or more I have to turn off immediately. Tried to adjust throttle cable underneath front storage area no luck. Tried unhooking electrical plug going to black throttle box under front storage left side (Nothing same). Now I am possibly thinking maybe some kind of electrical throttle control? As anyone ever had this issue or with any year or manufacture that's a 4 stroke? Gonna pull off fuel rail and hoses above intake manifold to see if there's a electrical connection to the throttle body and go from there. Cant find any Vacuum leaks either.

Out of the water always engage reverse mode before starting the engine. This limits RPM spiking too high, which can happen with this Weber engine.
In water with a load on the jet pump it may idle properly.
There is some Weber engine info at this link.

And more elsewhere. Lots to learn
