    importing from the USA ?

    Hi everybody.
I'm thinking about importing a waverunner from the USA. I found where to buy, and how to ship it to europe already.
    My only concern is warranty.
Anybody knows if yamaha will provide me with international warranty if anything goes wrong with the ski within the first year ?
I tried asking yamaha through their website but had no response.
And my local yamaha dealer who used to be an a**** had became more of it since he knew I wouldn't buy from him next time ....
    Anybody know something ?
    Thank you !

Probably doesn’t matter for a USA product warranty, but what is the destination country?

check with the selling dealer about an extended warranty and see if that warranty will cover you while "overseas"

expect to pay some pretty big custom duties as well, but from what I know about this it still should come in under the overseas price for the same unit, even after shipping costs and duty

check with your countries authorities too to see if it is even possible, as there could be some emission/equipment issues for your country

lots of legwork now will save you immeasurable headaches and expenses later on

Hi everybody, and thank you for your answers .
    The destination country is France.
I checked and double checked everything, customs, shipping, etc, and it is still more than worth the hustle. On average, theres 10k$ difference in price . Id like to buy a FX svho or maybe HO, and I can't afford a new one here . Custom fees arent that big, so only problem is warranty.
But asking the dealer about an extended one ... yeah, I didn't think about this, I'll try to do so .
    Thank you again

    The actual question:

Would an EXTENDED warranty be available with coverage in Europe

We all know a US warranty on about 99% of consumer products is not honored by European dealers of the product, and the same goes in reverse

and all its going to take is one phone call by the OP to find out.
