GP1200R tripple piped
So i finally got around to it and took the bike to the mechanic to get it tripple piped! they are all in. . HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS LOOKS!!! just missin the carbs but i think after today they are in!! so i ask all my fellow riders whom have had tripple pipes . . how did u like them ? ?how much maintmence really did u have to put into the bike once u did this ? ? my mechanic (marco marine) told me it will be high maintmence the way i ride EVERY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!! but it's going to feel good flying by a lot of the bikes out there . . . is it possible that i will beat a 1300R fuel inject. with some porting done ? ?
Thanks guys

GP1300R easy...
Hey there..
Tripple pipes are mega... if they're done right...!!!! UNLIKE MINE..
Some maintenance is required, for sure..!!
I'm wondering what else you're having/had done on your gpr..
AS its not just a case of stick em pipes on and DO IT..!!
Firstly the Crank should be trued and welded...
Second the stock ignition just won't do it.. you need an advent or msd type system..!!
Third and probably most important of all make sure ALL the mounting brackets have been used..!!(the cause of my major grief)
Fourth you'd be well advised to get a different prop 13/19 or more your choice(holeshot or more topend..??)
Fifth and also vitally important make sure the fueling is RIGHT..!! (jetting)
Now my friend after all this scare mongering here's the good news,
Set up right with stock porting and maybe a compression increase to around 150psi.
YOU will piss on a stock or mildly modded 1300r....
post some more on whats been done on the engine so far..!!

You should rape most modded 1300r's but lately a lot of us are moving on up speed wise since mods like the Sonicboom throttle bodies are coming out.
I'm not savy on what kind of speed a thripple 14/20 1200r does but I am guessing mid to upper 70s?
