filter
For a 2018 FXHO and VX Cruiser. Are the more expensive washable ones worth the money? No mods on either skis?
Thanks

Just want to put a new one in and saw the riva. I have no knowledge of these things and want a quality filter. When I changed the oil i used OEM with Yamalube.

If you are keeping the stock airbox, just put the OEM replacement in both.

has anyone compared the Riva filter kit to the Worx kit? is Riva worth the difference in price?

Without other modifcations it seems unlikely that anything more than the factory OEM air filter will make any noticable difference.
If you want to start making changes, there are things that can be done. Some performance upside is possible with the non-supercharged engine, but they tend to be incremental gains.

Kinda figured it is not a wise investment for mods. As a relative newbie to the activity I agree. Also I have a 13 year old and I was starting to let him handle the controls with me on i, and safety right now is priority.
I was thinking long term that they can be cleaned and maybe wiser for that reason.
I have issues with the FXHO. I am fairly sure that it has a big cavitation problem. On initial launches this unit vibrates a lot on full throttle when taking off.
After it gets going no issues at all. Being as its off season now I was wondering what I can do to correct this.
I was wondering if ride plate modification (Jims) or a different grate. I am fairly positive if explained to me I can handle the swap, and I just ordered a service manual.
