Extended Warranty a good idea??

Hello,
Just pulled the trigger and bought a 2021 Waverunner VX limited. Dealer suggested an extended 4 year warranty beyond the 1 year factory. Are these really worth it or just a money grab?

considering the cost of repairs, its a worthwhile option ( in my opinion) and adds to resale value. Of course when buying new you want to try to negotiate on the price if you're up to it. Make SURE its a yamaha extended warranty and not third party

I believe (contrary to what I used to believe about service contracts) it is the best money spent on any new PWC. There are simply too many problem areas with all brands. I spent about $1,100 on a 4 year BRP branded contract for my '17 RXT and it has saved me at least $2k in repair costs. The real benefit is that I don't have to argue with the shop over costs-the dealer does this with the manufacturer for me.
