Old member looking to get their kids into something..

I have not.. no way to test ride them and my experience (be it from years ago) was the yamaha has a much different ride than the spark.

We want a playful fun machine that is not overly fast and our river is usually very smooth water.

You might find the EX interesting.

Yamaha has changed all of their hulls compared to years ago. The VX is now a larger and more capable machine. The EX is now the playful 'entry level' hull.

That is a perfect way to describe it. I call it a "busy" ride. A lot more movement than my RXTX 300, I'll tell you that. Put it to you this way; my daughter got a new BMW 4 series hard top convertible (which she adores) and after getting the TRIXX she said "Dad, if I had to give up one or the other, I'd give up the Beemer".

awesome! My daughter is super excited for it! She is not old enough for a car yet but im sure whatever car we end up buying her ill pull the spark!

Well we ended up buying a 2021 Spark Trixx 3 up last night! Dealer had just received it so good timing!

Now just need the snow to go away lol

As a spark owner I often read forums, there is an official spark forum. and he has one factory problem - a crookedly installed engine, which subsequently cuts off the splines of the crankshaft or the shaft of the water cannon. I would immediately do the motor alignment procedure.
