Ultra 150 Shredmaster 2 breather holes

Quick question, my shredmaster plate has the 2 holes that go into the pump eye glass seal area. I see a lot of people say to plug them. Seems to work fine as is, is there any benefit to plugging them?

I tried it both ways, no difference
What matters is the seal is good otherwise you can suck air from the pump tunnel area between the plate and pump shoe from the back of the ski causing cavitation.

Use a good amount of silicone around those eyelits doesn't matter if aftermarket or stock plate
