I’m pretty sure millennium can fix that head. Did you tell them it’s a single piece head for 3 cylinders? I think they weld the damage and then use a cnc to machine the damaged head exactly like the other 2 Undamaged ones.

This is for a 4 stroke head. But a 2 stroke head should be easier and cheaper.

That boat has an interesting history. Started out life in Alabama. Looks like it was a buy-back. That's probably how it became a Matrix.

Has had a stator replaced, TPS, coils, water temp sensor, engine harness, flywheel, and a lot of labor.

Yeah I told them it was a single one piece head. Here is the email I received.


Looks like Jay from Sharps, near me, might have some options for me. He even has a one piece head with removable domes and he thinks he might be able to fix the existing head.

No doubt, what I meant was that buy-back vehicles go to auction, where dealers and shops can bid on them typically getting them at super attractive prices. That's how this one got to Seebold's I'm sure.

I have no information on this particular machine.

I do recall that some (I do not know how many) 2003 MSX 140 were assembled at the factory with bolts for the Ficht stator that were too long for the blind mounting holes in the crankcase. The bolts were torqued tight but did not actually hold the Ficht stator firmly in position. This apparently caused some weird running problems that were difficult to diagnose, creating repeated customer service events.

GH member pho2ocraft reported discovering this problem when converting one of his MSX 140 to Matrix.
