Wearing Neoprene shorts is recommended, but I don't. Perhaps I should be more careful in my old age.

I always wear my Neoprene under my riding shorts. The only thing that sucks is the ride home in wet clothes.

The gated ramp we use in Groveland Ma. ( On the Merrimack River ) is behind a large Baseball, Basketball, Tennis Court, and Dog Park. With cameras all around, it’s the last place you what to be caught with your ass hanging out!

Inline sharkbite black plastic valve from lowes. The original worm gear clamps suck. You should upgrade them to a beefier clamp of the same type.

I removed the hose entirely on my own GP1800 SVHO (see photo), before they ever went into the water.

I have not seen actual pressure numbers reported for the visibility spout feed.

I have seen plenty of posts about cutting the hose and installing a plastic inline ball valve so the visibility spout can be turned on and off. Most of those posters did not mention anything about the hose subsequently splitting or failing. IIRC a few said they needed to upgrade to better hose clamps.
