    I looked for this article and canít find it. I called Group K and left a message with no response.

    It was posted in the yamaha gp facebook group

    I have an 800 that i am rebuilding, i did this modification. Easy enough alittle jb weld, sand down to fit case and during assembly a dab of case sealant just to make sure

    Dammit!!! I’m no longer on the page. Would it be possible for somebody to copy the verbiage and post it here?

    I’m not familiar with the groove in question. I am wondering if we should do this to our mostly stock 1200R?

    That goove there, fill it in and sand down, that groove bypasses the first crank seal.Click image for larger version.

    I've wondered why that notch went all the way through the seal retaining groove myself but had not thought about filling it.

    The slot that goes through two sets of sealing surfaces. Zooming it makes it easier to see.
