AZ 260
Hey all,
Bought a 2012 RXPX-260 back in March 2019, quickly discovered the IC was crap, changed it out (newer stock version with the high point vent)
Ski runs great, then my inexperience with this ski taught me a hell of a lesson at falling off while doing 60mph.
Fast forward to today I've done several mods last year & have a few planed for the next couple of weeks.
So far the following has been done:
15/19 impeller.
Riva waterbox - pipe to stock tunnel exhaust port (doing through hull this week)
Riva catch can kit.
Intake filter & 90 from JP Racing.
Intake manifold gridle.
Intake manifold upgrade kit.
MaptunnerX with stage 2 tune.
Up coming mods
Through hull exhaust.
300 valve cover swap W/ coils
Riva IC tubing W/ BOV
Supertech valve springs
So recorded data (recorded as in me trying to remember crap)
Parker AZ July air temp was 120°F 430’ elevation I was constantly hitting 75mph @8200 RPM on the Colorado river.
Local lake we prefer, Sept. air temp was 105°F 1900ft elevation 71mph @7900 RPM
I'm shooting for that 80 mark.
I know there's still a bit more to do (SC & IC upgrade, flywheel bolts, injectors and fuel pressure reg)
Any suggestions on priority?
Thanks!

Holeshots are hard on the FW bolts! Do that first, or next!

Good tip thanks!
Let me guess, that's gonna be one of them "pull the motor" jobs?

Manifold girdle was overkill if all you want to do is 80.
(Through hull exhaust.
300 valve cover swap W/ coils
Riva IC tubing W/ BOV
Supertech valve springs) = No performance gains.
SC & IC upgrade, flywheel bolts, injectors and fuel pressure reg should be done at the same time to see the full benefits.

Copy that.
I'll try to reason my decision lol.
Through hull to reduce that exhaust drone (that $hit beats me up in some of the long no wake zones)
300 valve cover swap, wanted to go with newer coils and I have an issue with them getting damp and failing - grounding instead of firing the plug.
Stock tubing is 8+ ish years old AZ heat is a mother so might as well give it a fighting chance.
Valve springs, seen a few forum post & vids of them floating and failures so figured if I'm swapping the valve cover I might as well change springs while in the area.
I do have FW bolts arriving in a few days, not sure if I'll dig that deep.
BUT thank you for the suggestion on the SC, IC and Fuel pres reg!!
I'll be putting that on the list for the next "must do"
Trying to keep maintenance - upgrades to the Nov-Jan months then the rest for riding.
Speaking of the coil up grade... old ones are 2 wire and new are 3 pin there any wiring diagram for this swap?Last edited by KE7NEA; 12-04-2020 at 12:03 AM. Reason: I cant spell

Forgot to mention that a BOV is not recommended on the Sea Doos.

Not sure if this applies to Sparks, but on non-Spark SeaDoos, if you...
