06 STX 12f timing rotor question
I have a timing rotor question. I bought two "basket case" skis: a 2003 and a 2006 STX 12f. Motors are in different states of disrepair. One motor has a timing rotor... other has a broken timing rotor. Each rotor has a different number. Thus, my question: what is the difference? Did they change the timing between 03 and 06? Thanks

Here is a thread concerning the same issue with the STX-15F. I would guess that the timing rotor is matched to the ignition box, so if you swap one, you must swap the other.

I see although, I wonder where on the ignition box the indicator is? Is there a label? I am still in the assembly stage here although trying to make sure that I get the correct parts. Thanks

The '03 ECU part number is 21175-3725. There are two part numbers for the timing rotor, 21007-1356, and 21007-3729.
The '06 ECU part number is 21175-3732. The timing rotor part number is 21007-3730.
