Freezing temps for one night
Have a 2002 STX-R. Was planning on winterizing this week, looked at the forecast and supposed to drop down to 28-29 tonight. Below freezing for a few hours. Sitting in outdoor storage, do I need to rush out tonight and bring the ski home to winterize or will it be fine for one night?

Stored with the bow slightly high, with a self-drained cooling system?
When you normally winterize it do you do anything specific with the engine cooling system?

My trailer jack just broke unfortunately so bow is down. Was planning on replacing it when I winterized... This is the first winter I've had the ski. I blew out the water by giving it a few revs last time I took it out of the water. A little paranoid about the temps tonight though, not familiar with how long it needs to stay below freezing to cause damage

When water initially freezes is when the damage risk occurs. The water expands as it becomes solid.
Check the owner’s manual for your model. The engine cooling system may be self draining. Self-drain may require the hull to be at least level or bow up a little, but the water may have already drained out while you were trailering it home after the last ride.

Yep everything turned out fine, got to the ski the next day. Ran it with fuel stabilizer and marine antifreeze for a little bit, fogged cylinders.. No issues that I could see. Tucked away for a few months now! See you guys next season
