97 Carbs SLT 780

Pulled the plate off the first carb and it doesn't look bad. I wanted to post some pics and see if anyone has any objections to just finish cleaning and move on to the next carb. The diaphragm is nice and soft no tears, the jets look clear and clean. The only build up I see is at 6 "o" Clock there is a little black build up but not much. Should I just go ahead and get a rebuild kit due to the age of the ski? Thanks in advance for the advise.

yes. rebuild is more than putting new gaskets in. you should thoroughly clean all passages and make sure the popoff pressure is correct for the needle.

Once I get things cleaned replaced and put back together how do I test the pop off pressure? I’m sure there is a thread on here but will all the skis basically be the same process?
