When witnerizing a 2015 STX15f, is it manditory to fog cylinders?
Just bought a new to me 15 STX15f and am winterizing it here in Dallas Texas and was curious if I have to fog the cylinders with fogging oil? The ski will sit up fro probably 5 months. Or should I just start it randomly like every month or so?
Will be stored outside but under a carport and a cover.

You should absolutely fog with that period of non-use. DO NOT run it periodically-this promotes condensation in the engine that will not be burned off with short run times. The main reason for fogging a ski engine is to prevent corrosion on the internals since there is always a small amount of standing water in the exhaust system.

It’s a good practice to get into for sure. Wd-40 is what some of us have been using to fog with good results. Just the plain stuff
