Can anyone confirm the size of the fz Venturi nozzle diameter? I have the extended smaller nozzle from Dean now which is 83mm I believe. Im wondering if I can keep
my pitch the same without hurting anything just to test.

perfect. Thanks for that. I ordered a 2016 fzr nozzle so its 85mm 3 degree. I wonder how much that will raise my rpm if it don’t touch the prop? My current nozzle is 83mm. What are the factory specs on 2019+ Fx nozzle?

“ Typically “ 83mm to 85mm add 100rpms and a little more speed.FX nozzles are 87mm and 150-200rpms but you dont go any faster or start slowing down a little. These are just some generalizations and can vary.Just make one change at a time and keep a record of weather/speed/rpms.Its cooling down now in Florida so speeds are going to be higher no matter what. You really need similar weather to your previous runs to have any accurate data

In case someone is in the same situation. I switched to the newer FZ nozzle that’s 85mm and it has virtually eliminated the sensation that I was experiencing. The hole shot is waaay better and the mid and top end fees the same. I can tell the RPMs went up a bit due to the higher sounding revs. But I cannot tell you the exact RPMs because it was very choppy out when I was doing some pulls. My current tech doesn’t refresh fast enough so you have to hold down the throttle for at least five seconds for it to read a maximum RPM. I just ordered a pet tach because I’m tired of that ha ha. Wondering if I gain any speed. I will test again on the lake shortly but I’m happy with the low end now and the sensation of it bogging down or struggling out of the hole is gone
