    2016 svho ride system delete

Can anyone point me as to how to disable the ride system on a 2016 Yamaha fx svho? I want to run the ski without the ride motor connected at all.

What would you ever want to do that? It’s one of the best features of the ski

Looking at the avatar, maybe the SVHO motor is going into a jet boat hull?

I do not know if RiDE can be disabled using CanDOOpro or dealer diagnostics.

One method would be to purchase a good used ECU from a non-RiDE SVHO model.

Itís going in a new boat build and Iíll be running a linear actuator for trim and manual reverse lever so I can have amazing braking.

Candoo pro doesnít offer anything for the Yamaha ride system they only have a gps speedo module. I used candoo IBR delete for the boat on my profile pic.

The ECU for the svho is already tuned but still has all the ride systems enabled. Was hoping I could just solder in some resistors to remove the ride system and eliminate any fault codes. Was hoping some offshore racer had already figured out how to do away with it all cheaply without requiring a tune.

It’s going into a new boat build and having manual reverse helps me from running out of water, also running an aftermarket steering and trim nozzle that has more articulation than the Yamaha trim so I’ll be using a linear actuator to control trim.

You know about extending the RiDE motor trim arm to increase trim nozzle articulation, and that is still not enough?

Running out of water - you mean you are building a braking system that is much more aggressive than the Yamaha reverse bucket, correct?

Yes, I have a split duct reverse that will go on the new steering/trim nozzle that offers an insane amount of reverse thrust. Should be able to stop the boat in 50’ form 40 mph easily. I’m not keen to have the weight and the bulk of the ride motor in the hull and I can’t utilise my reverse gate with the ride system and steering nozzle. And by running out of water I mean beaching high and dry on sandbars that’s creep up on you sometimes when running rivers in late season when the flow drops right off.

I would also love a "wire in resistor" mod/solution for removing Ride..
