SVHO and fueling on water

In abt a month ill be new to the svho class. Considering the svho uses premium fuel, what is an alternative or option when going on rides where premium is not available? In my case it would be most of the time. We take long rides most of the time where one way trips go for 2 hours up rivers etc.

The new ski will have some mods not sure if that plays a role in all of this but premium is just not available. What are my options? Whats the worst thing that can happen if i fuel regular unleaded?

Which model and year of SVHO do you have?

Tip: SVHO is the engine designation.

Short answer: run only premium fuel for the SVHO engine.

There are hundreds of threads regarding this issue, if thats the case about always going on long trips and no premium, i would suggest getting a HO.

Octane boosters are not recommended, If you put fuel with lesses octane rating you will be forced to cruise at somewhat lower rpms. Not into high boost. Many threads you can find will help you make an educated decision.

Bring your own gas, is the other option, buy a rack and you can carry up to 3 VP fuel jugs.

At what RPM does SVHO go positive pressure? Stay under that RPM and you'll be fine just cruising. You also have knock control, if for some reason something knocks, which should be able to safely deal with anything at cruising RPMs.

Also, most marinas sell 89 octane which is mid grade so it's not tooooo bad.

Do not go WOT, just cruise below boost RPM.

This is how we carry additional fuel when traveling distance.
20, 40, even 60 liters on the rear deck.

Most of the time we put one or two jugs on the back. Carrying three is rare for me.
So far we have ridden several hundred kilometers with this method, including some rather bouncy riding conditions.

The one im getting is the new gp. I just put svho figuring most people would know im talking about the supercharged engine. But it looks like im gonna have to copy this setup with 2 5gallon chugs should be enough. I was more leaning towards octane boosters but as the previous response mentioned the booster not being recommended ill use this method. The only method. Appreciate all the info

If you have to fuel up on the water just keep it under 6,000 you'll be fine. As far as boosters just get a quality one and keep some with you. Don't go overkill with it but you can put a little in when necessary. I use a touch of torco.
