What about reliability? I'm pretty sure BRP has the engine in a sweet spot. What about when weather and water temperatures change on you with the added ignition timing and/or fueling? Fuel octane? You now need to monitor the engine. You need an O2 sensor installed..

Dude, I have seen you make several post with flat out incorrect information. Why post when its blatantly wrong?
Who would spend 1k on a maptuner when the scom takes the speed limiter off?
Maptunner not only tweaks the fuel map and ignition timing to increase power, it pushes the limiter to 8300, more rpm, more power.

Stole the words out of my mouth. I've wanted to comment on this dudes demeanor and accuracy since like May. It's incredible how often the information is inaccurate haha with a twist of arrogance
Check my prop thread. Jumped on mine with incorrect info.
Was thinking to myself "It's time to say something" before I saw your reply!

EFI tuning was not invented yesterday.

Any kind tangible performance improvement means going beyond factory specs. If you want to stay stock do so, but stop posting incorrect information in the performance section of the forum.

You don’t want any risk stay home. But riva is known to be tuned on the conservative side. You think brp running 13+ afr on wot is great? Although after 8000 brp pulls 7-8 degrees of timing.

Stock engines can also go boom. There is plenty of tuning that can be had with almost any efi engine out there. A good tune will increase power, efficiency and be plenty reliable. The factory tunes to achieve certain goals. Think of the 130 vs 170. Tuning is the only difference.
