What's the diameter of the outlet? What about the piping?

I finally got a chance to look at my own to see what's going on.
Root to all my questions is I'm trying to make a thru hull myself. I think I can do it, but needed the info to try and see what's available. I think I can use 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipe and cut the rubber hose to use for couplers. I just need to get some mandrel bent tubing to see what works.
Looking at THIS picture it looks like a 90* and 2 45* pipes will do the trick. That last bend may be a little shy of 45* though.
The only real problem I'm having is finding a thru hull exhaust tip for 2 1/2" tubing. Something that's gonna look decent.
Not knocking the kits, but I don't see the money for that. I do ... but, not for me. Hope I don't step on any toes doing this.

Where did you find a 2 3/4" hole saw? I've been to several stores and the kits go from 2 1/2" to 3" with nothing in between. I thought I had most sizes out there and both my kits go from 2 1/2 to 3". I found a diamond hole saw that's 70mm on ebay and ordered it but it's coming from China. I'd like to find one local.

Dude! at my local Ace Harware store
Not the red hole saw, but the white one, I think it`s bi-metal...
don`t you have to use coolant/solution with the diamond?
Curious, won`t the diamond saw clog up with fiberglass?...PR...

ACE??
That's the one place I didn't go and we have a brand spankin new one a mile away. I bought the diamond one because that's the ONLY one I could find on ebay. I'll head to ACE tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.
