    WSM Ti vs OEM spring retainers visual comparison

    So after the recent OEM retainer failure we went with WSM retainers. Mainly for the cost. Got a big discount on them that makes it even better. If they are trash we will find out soon enough. If nobody has seen these yet then here they are. You be the judge of the characteristics. OEM=dull color, WSM=shiny

    They work I’ll be using them for two seasons already no complaints besides needing to be replaced every 50-100hrs

    They make a pretty good set of titanium for a few extra bucks.

    Can you do a weight comparison? I once purchased the aquasport titanium, they were quite lighter then stock but the supertech were a nicer looking/fitting retainer.

    Not being familiar with ti retainers, why do they need to be replaced so frequently?

    I wouldn't use the WSM with such a lighter weight, if they are made of steel. I believe the titanium are about 5 grams or so a piece unless you received titanium retainers. I did a search and the WSM titanium retainers sure look like the ones you received..

    They are quite light to trust for reliability, maybe it will be okay for a stock application. I have a set of aqua sport Titanium retainers kicking around and they are 6.23 grams. 50% more titanium will make a huge difference...
