Oil flowing out the rear
Hello, I am new to this water craft stuff. I am in my mid 50's, retired and my son just gave me 2 1994 Sea Doo GTX. They both seem to run very well but the one has oil pooring out from under the jet. It is the same consistancy and color as the injection oil. There is no oil visable under the seat or hood. In research I have found mention of a driveshaft oil reservoir but cannot find anything that tells me how to locate it and check for leaks. Anyone with an Idea please help.
Thanks. Bill

hey bill
the jet pump oil resovior is right behind the steering nozzle , if u take that off then u can see it the oil looks just like 2 stroke oil but it is probally seadoo synthetic jet pump oil , if u take off the cap off which looks like a cone there is o-ring seals behind it that seals off the oil from oil escaping or water entering that might be your problem

Welcome Bill!!!
Very very strange indeed.
I would start with the engine oil injection system itself.
-Tank
-Hose from tank to oil pump.
-Hoses from oil pump to mid-engine crank bearing.
-Hoses from oil pump to carbs.
This should cover it.
As far as I know, the only driveline oil is in the jet pump which is outside the ski.

Thank You, I removed the steering nozzle and fired it up. There is a plate or housing I believe to be the Jet pump. It is bolted with four larger bolts (17mm socket) and appears to have some sort of silicone or rubber sealant behind it. The oil is coming from the bottom of this sealant. Is this something I can repair or is it best left for the dealer's mechanic? Again, thanks for your help.
