I've ridden my gp1800r svho twice so far and man is this thing fun. Cuts corners like its on rails. Accelerates like a rocket and the auto trim is pretty sweet. I am completely happy with my purchase. I'm ready for some "go faster" parts now.

Why did you originally choose the EX ?

VX Deluxe is the same TR-1 engine but in the larger VX hull, correct?

Please dont tell me the dealer is picking damn skis up thru the strap hooks!? It clearly states and has a big ass sticker telling you not to ever do that. Man I hope you never have any fractures around the 2 back hooks. Come on, I would have rejected that ski.

was told EX would arrive sometimes in sep and VX would take a lot longer, but EX never made any of the shipment.

I would expect the dealer to say ‘we do it this way all the time and never have a problem...’

But then the illustration in the manual shows the rear tow hoop, not the tie down hoops on the lower rear transom.

I guess if this was untrue then all the other dealers would do skis this way and save alot of money instead of buying straps. 2 nuts and a washer hols each ear, lifting spoons support alot more area. Just cause you can doesnt mean you should.

Are we really mad about how a ski is lifted? if those points cant hold the ski, then why depend on them to stop the ski from murdering us when we have a head on collision? or is that going to be yamahas fault too?

I just got the call today. My FX SVHO is here in New Jersey! Dropped a deposit in July, placed the order in August when the released the line up and pricing.
