    That 13/20 is too much prop for your setup. Switch to a 13/18 and you will pick up 200-300rpm and 2-3mph.

    So last year we had 2 stage 1+ ski's both nearly identical (except for a free flow on one) and we swapped prop to a 13/18 on one ski, it lost 2mph and still couldnt outrun mine from a dig.
    Im thinking about trying a prop, but im going to be pissed if I spend the money for nothing. I do not have retainers, running a stage 2 8600 limit.

    I have to say that I experienced the opposite effect. RPM's went up and top speed went down.

    13/20 - 83 mph constant, 85 in perfect conditions 8400 RPM
    13/18 - 80 constant, 83 perfect conditions 8630 RPM
    Sea level, 75 degrees air, water temp - Canada cold, 1/2+ fuel

    Canyon Lake is 965' above sea level and your temps exceed 100 degrees in the summer. That's causing some low RPM. Not sure what RPM you are running, but it's going to be low in those conditions. You need a 13/18 impeller and the Riva pro series cooling is an absolute must in your climate. You may even need to depitch the 13/18 slightly to get 8500 RPM in the heat of summer.

    Canyon Lake full pool is 909ft. currently at 904. $400 for riva pro cooling is going to be a no from me. I have a dedicated intercooler line from worx for WAY less. Ive ridden the ski in the gulf which is as you guessed, sea level, same speeds. I have ridden when its winter and 50 degrees ambient and 45 water temp. You are always helpful, but you know riva claims are bullshit. We all know it. Ill test again now that im stage 2 and its clsoing in on winter. Im currently seeing 8400rpm on the recall and 8210 WOT looking at the tach.

    dedicated intercooler line works great for the Intercooler but you need to cool the Block on the Intake side as well as upgrate the oil cooler cooling and the Block cooling on the exhaust side, when running Stage 2
    With Stage 1 and Stage 1 Plus the only cooling upgrate is you need to drill out booth plastic cooling fitting and may an an water strainer vom riva or worx... but with stage 2 and more rpm you need more...

    install the logging stuff and check real time the engine time in the summer...even its colder you will see how hot that engines goes....

    I tried to find the install instructions for the pro series cooling to see the differences. I have the fittings drilled out, I have the strainer and the worx cooling kit that says to go to the anode, but i sent it to the intercooler and sent the factory intercooler line to the anode.
