Seadoo rxp215 clutch slipping kind of feel????

    Evening /morning .
ive got a Seadoo rxp 215 (2005) I thought I had a misfire but itís turning out I donít , itís getting worse . It feels like a clutch is slipping ( do they have clutchís of some sort? ) you accelerate And it revs right up and doesnít go anywhere . Seems to do it above 40mph
I noticed a lot of water in the hull so I ran the ski with no seat and could see water spraying up from under the pipe that comes off the centre of the super charger . But couldnít pin point it as I didnít want to stick my hand in while running .
Im guessing these faults will be connected ? What could cause this ? It does it when your trying to go fast .
Iím guessing itís something to do with the shaft ?

Your carbon seal is going bad. Dont ride it anymore until it is replaced. You risk sinking.

Depends on what you would consider easy. But for someone thats never done one before I would say its not easy.

OP, did you remove the intake hose from the supercharger for your pics?

Also if thats corosion on the drive shaft, changing the carbon ring is going to be a problem. Ig your not sure what to do for that, i would sugest you find someone that does know or a dealer.

Yeah I removed the hose for the picture buddy 👍

yeah there is corrosion on it unfortunately. Iíll maybe give it a go myself , I live on an island on scotland and no dealers for miles unfortunately.

You will still need to change the carbon seal

And align the engine with the new motor mounts.
