    Re-jet after going pre-mix?

Was just talking to a gentlemen that was quite knowledgeable. We talked about going premix and he asked if I jetted up. This caught me off guard a bit and Iíve never heard of read of this.

I didn't rejet the skis I swapped. If anything I think my skis are too rich. So if he is suggesting rejetting down I'd be onboard. LOL I don't think a lot of people rejet though. I"d worry more about being lean which hasn't been my experience. I restore skis and I get to see a number of set ups. The only skis I've seen rejetted is those that have exhaust system mods.

He was actually talking about netting up because the fuel is thicker.

Also, I removed all the duct work for the intake. Would this affect the idle, causing a lean condition??

Yes, that will make a very large different, less restriction into the engine. But that "ductwork" is a flame arrestor designed to stop sparks from coming out of the intake if something goes wrong. I've had a stand up explode on me from a loose negative, even if it was just the hood being blown off and the latch flying off it was still quite scary. I suggest you put that ductwork back on.

It may be a little leaner because there's oil and gas, but think of how much oil you're putting in there and think if it really makes a huge difference. Maybe you'll have to turn the adjustment screws out a littler to fatten it up, but I highly doubt you'll have to go with larger jets.

I should clarify that I only removed the silencer and not the air box.
