    What was causing the problem
No, not yet . Replace the ribbon with a ribbon delete kit from riva still the same . Also remove head cover to check timing and it’s still on point so I am completely baffled right now on what it could be

Might want to check fuel pressure since you have all the other 2 compression and spark, the regulator might be dumping too much fuel or not enough. You can probably get one pretty easily since they are removed and its spot is plugged when we switch over to to a RRFPR.

I had that happen on my vxr. I doubt thats your problem because when mine did that it wouldn't start at all. check the wires on the back of your injector plugs. see if any pull out easily. They should be locked in. I had one break out of the blue while I was riding a few weeks ago.

Hi, I am having the same issue on a 2019 Yamaha GP1800R. If i remove the seat it works fine, idling and on WOT but as soon as I put the seat in place it will only run on WOT and as soon as i idle it would stop. If i remove the seat at that time it will start with no issues. Tried to detect a leak on the exhaust but cant find any smoke. Thanks

There may not be visible exhaust around the leak. These are not 2-stroke engines.

Start inspecting every exhaust hose clamp and using an inspection mirror. A clamp or hose end may be out of position, perhaps somewhat tight but not properly seated.

Have you removed any exhaust components or loosened any of the clamps in the recent past?

Mine did exactly that and it was an exhaust leak in the hull. the tube going into the plastic muffler box had come off.
