    2006 RXT Hood Strut Lower Mounting Bracket

    2006 RXT HOOD STRUT LOWER MOUNTING BRACKET

    The aluminum lower bracket that the pressurized hood strut connects to came off (rivets corroded)

    Should I run the risk of re-riveting the mounting bracket ?

    Or should I try epoxy-ing it back on ??

    Not sure how thick the hull is at that point and I'd hate to drill through it

    Rivet it back on. There should be an aluminum plate embedded in the fiberglass. I had to relocate mine on my 08 T-X & didn't have any problems. RR

    I riveted it back on in my 08 rxt with no issues. Offset it per the seadoo tsb and have had no binding issues anymore
